Permits have been filed for an 18-story mixed-use tower at 211 West 84th Street on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Located between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue, the lot is two blocks south the 86th Street subway station, serviced by the 1 train. Naftali Group is listed as the owner behind the applications, after purchasing 207-221 West 84th Street last year for $71 million.

The proposed 209-foot-tall development will yield 154,598 square feet, with 151,700 square feet designated for residential space and 2,898 square feet for commercial space. The building will have 45 residences and an expansive amenity package is likely, based on other Naftali Group developments in the area. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and 17 enclosed parking spaces.

Hill West Architects is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits have not been filed yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. Big improvement

    • what a sad state of affairs in this city when Century old buildings that are so solidly built unlike the cheap piece of crap buildings that replace them, get demolished for greed to put up cheap glass filled cubes built by non union labor pulled off the streets.
These buildings could easily be built on top and there is absolutely no reason to demolish them!
Another piece of nyc history down the drain to supply ultra rich millionaires with apartments that will be empty most of the year.

  2. and just what we need another 17 parking spaces in the building to encourage more pollution on our streets.
    This sucks big time.

  3. The problem is that LPC is not doing its job. They’re controlled by the developers.

This building should have been landmarked.
