GFI Development has launched sales for ONE11 Residences at Thompson Central Park, a collection of 99 condominium units on the top nine floors of the Thompson Central Park Hotel at 111 West 56th Street in Midtown, Manhattan. The residences start on the 34th floor and range from 549-square-foot one-bedroom apartments to 3,042-square-foot four-bedroom penthouse units with private terraces overlooking Central Park. Douglas Elliman Development Marketing is the exclusive sales and marketing agent for the residences, which start at $1.325 million and include optional turnkey furniture packages. The property is located between Sixth and Seventh Avenues and was formerly known as the Parker New York. Thomas Juul-Hansen led the design of the hotel’s revamped amenity and public spaces.

“ONE11 Residences at Thompson Central Park presents a unique offering in the marketplace that balances a luxurious lifestyle with true comforts of home, and the added benefit of hotel services and amenities,” said Stan Spiegelman, managing director of GFI Development. “From the spectacular design to the impeccable location near Billionaires’ Row, the Fifth Avenue retail corridor and Central Park, ONE11 Residences at Thompson Central Park is a residential experience that seamlessly integrates hotel and condominium living.”

“Having designed the hotel’s public areas where we sought to leverage the iconic history of this landmark location, our approach to the residences was about focusing on elevated finishes, modern design, and sophisticated details that make each home distinctive,” Juul-Hansen said. “This is a desirable, high-design living experience in the sky.”

Amenities at ONE11 Residences at Thompson Central Park include an exclusive third-floor lounge shared only with guests of the “Upper Stories,” a collection of hotel rooms and suites on the Thompson’s higher floors. The lounge features a continental breakfast in the morning and canapés in the evening. Other offerings include a fitness center; concierge service that allows residents to book meeting and event spaces, discounted hotel rooms, and restaurant, car service, and theater reservations; and housekeeping and maintenance. The ONE11 Residences at Thompson Central Park is located within walking distance of cultural institutions such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Broadway theaters, and high-end shopping and dining establishments.

“Having re-launched the hotel less than a year ago with great success, and to now be able to present the residences to prospective buyers seeking a hospitality-driven living experience, is truly exciting,” Spiegelman added. “Buyers get the best of both worlds: being able to live in a beautiful home with countless amenities and experiences at their fingertips. We think this is a truly unmatched offering in New York.”

The Thompson Central Park New York hotel reopened to the public last fall under new ownership led by GFI. Features include the recently opened Parker’s, a cocktail lounge within the hotel’s newly designed lobby atrium with live jazz and crafted cocktails complemented by contemporary American fare. The Thompson Central Park’s food and beverage offerings include Burger Joint, Indian Accent, and an expansive in-room dining menu featuring a recently announced collaboration with Milk Bar.

“It’s an exciting time to bring this unique condominium experience to the market,” said Susan de Franca, CEO and president of Douglas Elliman Development Marketing. “Featured on the upper floors of the dazzling Thompson Central Park hotel, it’s truly a rare opportunity to live in style at the center of it all.”

  1. Nice reuse of what was a formerly mediocre building. While I have issues with Juul-Hansen’s exterior architecture projects, his interiors are always impeccable. These look great.

  2. Any chance another Super-Tall would be built on W57 street and block the Central Park view?

  3. Bank Gothic…yikes. Makes Thompson look like some evil corporation in a movie that sells weapons to third world dictators.

  4. The lobby atrium is public space provided under a deal with the city to allow more floors than the zoning permitted back when this building (then “Le Parker Meridien”) was built in 1981. Feel free to go in and sit down.

  5. I will go and sit down at the lobby
