The affordable housing lottery has launched for 85-87 Herkimer Street, a pair of four-story residential buildings in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Designed by Zproekt Architects and developed by Elie Fourti, the structures yield six residences each. Available on NYC Housing Connect are four units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $102,823 to $187,330.
Residences come with washers and dryers, dishwashers, air conditioning, smart controls for heating and cooling, intercoms, high-speed internet, and name-brand kitchen appliances, countertops, and finishes. Tenants are responsible for electricity.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there are two one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,999 for incomes ranging from $102,823 to $156,130, and two two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $3,499 for incomes ranging from $119,966 to $187,330.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than May 15, 2023.
