Permits have been filed for a five-story mixed-use building with a house of worship and residential component at 89 Throop Avenue in Brooklyn’s Broadway Triangle. Located at the intersection of Bartlett Street and Throop Avenue, the lot is near the Flushing Avenue subway station, serviced by the J and M trains. Chaim Deutsch is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 55-foot-tall development will yield 30,344 square feet, with 20,900 square feet designated for residential space and 9,444 square feet for community facility space. The building will have 24 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 870 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar, 12 open parking spaces, and 12 enclosed parking spaces.
S. Wieder Architect is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed in March 2021. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
