The affordable housing lottery has launched for 811 Lexington Avenue Senior Residences, a four-story residential building in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Designed by Think Architecture and Design and developed in part by Northeastern Conference of Seventh Day Adventists, the structure yields 63 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 43 units for residents at 50 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $0 to $56,500.

Amenities include a shared laundry, 24-hour building superintendent, common courtyard, bike room, community room, and a social services office. This building also has an accessible entrance and an elevator. Eligible tenants will pay 30 percent of their income, which includes rent, cooking gas, heat, and hot water.

At 50 percent of the AMI, there are 43 studios with a monthly rent of $0 for incomes ranging from $0 to $56,500.

Approximately 5 percent of the apartments are allocated to households with a mobility disability, and 2 percent of the apartments are for households with a visual/hearing disability. Households must meet the minimum age requirement of 62 years of age at the time of application submission and must qualify for Section 8. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than November 9, 2023.
