2 St Ann’s Avenue [Commercial Observer]: FreshDirect broke ground yesterday on their planned multi-story, 423,530 square-foot “corporate headquarters and food manufacturing and distribution facility” to rise at the vacant parcel of 2 St Ann’s Avenue, in Port Morris, Cybul, Cybul & Wilhelm and A+I are designing, and the building will “open for business in late 2016.”
36-16 Main Street [Brownstoner]: Excavation is well underway at the through-block site spanning 36-14 – 36-18 Main Street, in Flushing, where a 14-story, 148-key hotel is to front Prince Street. Its 16-story, 53-unit residential sibling will front Main Street. A variance for the project was approved in February, and completion is set for Spring 2018.
537 Greenwich Street [Curbed]: Conceptual renderings have surfaced of Cape Advisors’ planned redevelopment of the site spanning 537-545 Greenwich Street, in Hudson Square, created by FR-EE.
135-27 Northern Boulevard [Brownstoner]: JK Equities is planning to redevelop the landmarked two-story theater spanning 135-27 – 135-35 Northern Boulevard, in Flushing, into “approximately 270 condominium units and 43,000 [square feet] of commercial space,” rising 17 stories. The project will be completed in 2017.
55 Wythe Avenue [The Real Deal]: The 21-story, 183-room Level Hotel, which will also include office and retail space, “is now fully financed,” thanks to a $81+ million loan. Developer Zelig Weiss is “expect[ing] to open by early 2016.”
75 Ralph Avenue [Brownstoner]: Excavation has begun at 75 Ralph Avenue, the site of a planned six-story, 57-unit residential building in Bedford-Stuyvesant. Charles Mallea has yet to reveal renderings for the project, but 2-D schematics have been posted on-site.
