Permits have been filed for a two-story hotel at 701 East 240th Street in Wakefield, The Bronx, a popular area for the typology in the borough. The site is a block away from the 241st Street Subway Station, the final stop for the 2 train. Chand White Plains LLC will be responsible for the development.
The 26-foot tall structure will yield a total 25,550 square feet, with 15,520 square feet dedicated to the 63 hotel rooms, averaging 246 square feet each. 19 parking spaces will also be on site. Michael Kang Architects will be responsible for the design.
The site is currently undeveloped, and the estimated completion date has not been announced.
