Construction at 150 Rivington Street on Manhattan’s Lower East Side has moved along quickly. YIMBY last reported on the site’s progress in January, when the structure was just two stories high. Now, the building has topped-out, at seven stories. Cogswell Lee Development is responsible for the project, which replaces the former Streitz Matzo Factory.

The site is nestled in a quiet spot of an otherwise bustling neighborhood. Three blocks away is the Delancey-Essex street subway station, serviced by the F, J, M, and Z trains. The 89-foot tall structure yields 55,630 square feet of space within, with 8,200 square feet dedicated to the commercial-retail use, and 47,420 square feet for residential use.
The project will yield 45 new condominiums, averaging 1,054 square feet apiece. Prices start at $1 million for one-bedroom units, with three-bedroom layouts starting at $2.7 million.
Four penthouse units will crown the building, each with a private outdoor terrace with views of the city skyline. There will also be a communal outdoor terrace on the rooftop.
40% of units have been sold, leaving 27 left on the market. Stribling Marketing Associates is leading sales.

Gluck+ is responsible for the design. Completion is expected in the end of 2018.
