Permits have been filed for a seven-story building at 288 Union Avenue, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The site is five blocks away from Hewes Street, serviced by the J, M, and Z trains, and six blocks away from the Metropolitan Avenue subway station, serviced by the L and G trains. GW Union LLC is listed as behind the applications.
The 75-foot tall structure will yield 23,030 square feet, with 17,210 square feet dedicated to residential use. 25 units will be created, averaging 688 square feet apiece, indicating rentals.
Diego Aguilera Architects is listed as responsible for the development.
Demolition permits have not been filed yet. The estimated completion date has not been announced.

They are moving on this building fast. It’s listed under 290 Union and they just pulled down the scaffolding this week. Moving at a MUCH faster pace than the condo building across the street
