Permits have been filed for a five-story residential building at 55-40 97th Place in Corona, Queens. The site is nine blocks away from the Woodhaven Boulevard subway station, serviced by the E, M, and R trains. In the opposite direction is the expansive Flushing Meadows Corona Park, home to the Queens Museum, Zoo, a science center, and stadiums for tennis and baseball.

Aron Development is listed as responsible for the development, and the firm has also filed similar permits for the building next door, at 55-44 97th Place.

The 55-foot tall structure will yield 11,390 square feet, with 7,900 square feet dedicated to residential use. Ten apartments will be created, averaging 790 square feet apiece, indicating rentals. An unspecified amount of space within the cellar will be dedicated to a retail store.

Li Architect Associate will be responsible for the design.

Demolition permits have not been filed for the existing structure. The estimated completion date has not been announced.
