Work has resumed on 540 Fulton Street, a 511-foot-tall, 42-story, mixed-use skyscraper in Downtown Brooklyn. Construction had been suspended since February, when stop work orders were issued due to alleged safety concerns at the site. The mixed-use residential project is being designed by Marvel Architects and developed by Jenel Management. The reinforced concrete tower will yield about 330,000 square feet, with nearly 96,600 square feet to be allocated to commercial space on the lower floors. The remainder will be reserved for residences and measure about 236,900 square feet.
Recent photos show construction crews working on the fifth floor of the tower, where the main setback is located. The massing will feature a traditional, rectangular-shaped design with repetitive floor plates above the podium levels. The construction crane will gradually make its way up the northern elevation, which, like the southern elevation, will eventually be clad in a simple glass curtain wall. Though far from reaching supertall status, 540 Fulton Street’s substantial height will still make a noteworthy contribution to the skyline once work tops off.
The site is located just off of the busy corner of Fulton Street and Flatbush Avenue. There are a host of subways nearby, including the 2,3, 4, and 5 one block to the south at Nevins Street; the A, C, and G trains to the west at Hoyt-Schermerhorn; and the B, Q, and R trains to the north at DeKalb Avenue.
A completion date of October 2020 is stated on the construction fence and is still most likely going to happen.

Please pardon me for using your space: You are sober on details to development designed that I see. So-called Michael Young is good reporter softer than construction feeling. (Thank you)
Blank walls should be outlawed. What a mediocre POS.
Blank walls are actually mandated by zoning due to lot line windows being illegal
I don’t think that is true. Lot line windows in new developments are not illegal, they just need to be disclosed to buyers. Developers don’t want to deal with that hassle, which results in fucking ugly blank walls like this one even when it is extremely unlikely that anything will ever be built next door.
This blazay blazay report about nothing. All of the dumb residential Sky scrapers add NOT a thing to the sky except to cover the view of the moon. And NO THANK YOU! WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE
