Permits have been filed for six-story residential building at 673 West 187th Street in Hudson Heights, Manhattan. Located between Broadway and Wadsworth Avenue, the lot is four blocks south of the 191 Street station, serviced by the 1 train and four blocks north of the 181 Street station, serviced by the A train. Manny Gutman under the 605 West 187th Street LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 80-foot-tall development will yield 9,647 square feet, with 9,117 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 12 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 759 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a penthouse and a 30-foot-long rear yard.
Oleg Ruditser of Engineering Professional SVCS is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits have not been filed as of yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

Hudson Heights isn’t a neighborhood, again stop trying to erase NYC history. Isn’t that what brings people to city.
Why do people get so worked up about neighborhood “names”? Sure, realtors invent them for marketing purposes – I get it. But erase history? That’s kind of a stretch. Soho wasn’t a thing until the 60’s. Tribeca, the 70’s. Dumbo? The late 90’s. Hudson Heights came into use in the early 90’s for better or for worse. Some names stick, some don’t. If Hudson Heights is so horrible, it will be lost to history like many others. It’s simply not worth worrying about.
