Following approvals from the New York City Department of Buildings, Mortar Arch + Dev will soon begin construction on a new residential property at 206 Powers Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. In lieu of demolishing the location’s existing three-story building, Mortar will instead renovate and expand the property by one story to capitalize on the site’s allowable building area.
When complete, the structure will comprise four stories of residential area and approximately 6,245 square feet. With a total of eight rental units, individual apartments will measure 780 square feet apiece. Premium units will include large outdoor terraces that overlook Powers Street.
Available amenities, anticipated completion, and cost per unit have not yet been confirmed.
