Permits have been filed for a four-story residential building at 20-18 Steinway Street in Astoria, Queens. Located between 20th Avenue and 20th Road, the interior lot is also addressed as 20-08 Steinway Street. The closest transit is the Ditmars Boulevard subway station, serviced by the N and W trains. Fuhao Yang under the 2008 Steinway LLC Davaros under the Rio Davaroso Property LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 45-foot-tall development will yield 27,737 square feet, with 19,374 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 26 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 745 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar, a 40-foot-long rear yard, and 18 enclosed parking spaces.
Lu Ning Architecture is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed in June 2019. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
