Palette Architecture’s New York studio recently completed the design of a new five-story condominium building in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens, Brooklyn. Named Atrium Residences, the property will take shape at 246 Maple Avenue, just three blocks away from Prospect Park.
Renderings of the building reveal a bronze-colored metal façade that largely establishes the presence of the edifice and frames the exterior of each home within. A portion of the structure is quite set back from the bronze-framed volume and is instead enclosed in what appears to be grey stucco.
The first through fourth floors will contain two homes ranging from one- to two-bedroom layouts. The fifth floor is only partially enclosed and will contain the upper level of a fourth-floor duplex and an open-air communal terrace. Half of the cellar will also contain the lower level of a first-floor duplex, along with private storage area and required mechanical components.
In total, the structure will yield eight condominium units and approximately 7,900 square feet. While construction is ongoing, an anticipated completion date has not been formally announced.
