Permits have been filed for a six-story mixed-use building at 590 Myrtle Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Located between Classon Avenue and Taaffe Place, the lot is three blocks north of the Classon Avenue subway station, serviced by the G train. Moses Karpen of Waterfront Property Management is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 80-foot-tall development will yield 24,984 square feet, with 4,757 square feet designated for residential space and 54 square feet for commercial space. The building will have 12 residences, most likely studio rentals based on the average unit scope of 396 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar but no accessory parking.
Leandro Dickson of LND Architect is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed in June of this year. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
