The affordable housing lottery has launched for 25-18 32nd Street, a six-story mixed-use building in Astoria, Queens. The 7,081-square-foot masonry development yields seven units. Available on NYC Housing Connect are three units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $61,715 to $159,640.

Residential amenities include an elevator and shared rooftop terrace. Residences will have washers and dryers in units, dishwashers, air conditioning, energy-efficient appliances, hardwood floors, and patios or balconies.

At 130 percent of the AMI, there is one studio with a $1,800 monthly rent for incomes ranging from $61,715 to $118,300, one one-bedroom with a $2,200 monthly rent for incomes ranging from $75,429 to $133,120, and one two-bedroom with a $3,050 monthly rent for incomes ranging from $104,572 to $159,640.

Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than April 22, 2021.

  1. Ugghh. Why couldn’t they have spent a few more dollars and kept the arched windows on the 2nd floor? They could have even done fixed fanlights with the standard double-hung below. Those arches are what the architect designed to make the otherwise plain facade interesting. Otherwise, it’s a rather nice project.

    Serious question – has anyone used that style of shower that only has half a wall and it actually worked? I’ve only used them twice at different hotels I was staying at, and it made a mess. I was trying to be as careful as possible to keep the splashing to a minimum but it didn’t matter, water got everywhere.
