Permits have been filed for a seven-story mixed-use building at 519 Nostrand Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Located at the intersection of Herkimer Street and Nostrand Avenue, the corner lot is one block south of the Nostrand Avenue subway station, serviced by the A and C trains. Mendel Fleischman of The Garden Bond is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 74-foot-tall development will yield 32,481 square feet, with 30,746 square feet designated for residential space and 1,735 square feet for commercial space. The building will have 45 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 683 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar.
Diego Aguilera Architects is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
