Façade work is finishing up on the NYU Langone Ambulatory Care Clinic, a five-story medical facility at 70 Atlantic Avenue in the River Park master plan in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn. Designed by Perkins Eastman and developed in house by NY Langone Health, the 89-foot-tall structure spans 160,000 square feet. The site was formerly occupied by the 12-story The Long Island College Hospital, which was purchased by Fortis for $10.1 million in 2014 and subsequently demolished. Skanska USA Building is the general contractor for the property, which is alternately addressed as 339 Hicks Street and located at the corner of Atlantic Avenue and Hicks Street.
Recent photos show the steel-framed structure nearly fully clad in its sleek glass curtain wall, which incorporates sections of terracotta-colored panels. Sidewalk scaffolding surrounds the plot as work wraps up on the lower levels.

The last major section awaiting completion is the ground-floor frontage along the corner of Atlantic Avenue and Hicks Street. Fireproofed steel columns and beams were spotted behind the wrap-around sidewalk scaffolding and fencing.

The NYU Langone Ambulatory Care Clinic will feature a below-grade diagnostic imaging center for X-rays; a ground-floor emergency department with two inpatient beds for overnight stays, 14 patient bays, one resuscitation room, two triage rooms, a decontamination room, and eight enclosed treatment spaces; a third-floor outpatient surgery room with four operation rooms and two endoscopy rooms; and a fourth-floor cancer center with a capacity of 14 patients, a pharmacy, and a laboratory.
A completion date for 70 Atlantic Avenue has yet to be announced, but sometime in early 2023 seems possible.
