Permits have been filed to expand a two-story structure into a six-story residential building at 1027 Bushwick Avenue in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Located between Linden Street and Gates Avenue, the lot is near the Gates Avenue subway station, serviced by the J and Z trains. Quan Lin of H&Z Building Corp. is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 74-foot-tall development will yield 14,099 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 20 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 704 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have 12 enclosed parking spaces.
HPL Engineering is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the project calls for a vertical expansion. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
