The affordable housing lottery has launched for Aries Astoria, a five-story residential building at 31-18 30th Street in Astoria, Queens. Designed by Lu Ning Architecture and developed by CMZ Properties Group LLC, the structure yields 14 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are five units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $102,686 to $218,010.
Amenities include pet-friendly policies, a garage, gated access, valet trash, package lockers, a viertual doorman, bike storage lockers, and outdoor areas including a rooftop terrace. Residences come with washers and dryers, air conditioning, hardwood floors, intercoms, smart controls for heating and cooling, high-speed internet, and name-brand kitchen appliances, countertops, and finishes. Tenants are responsible for household electricity, including electric stove, heat, and hot water.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there are four one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,995 for incomes ranging from $102,686 to $181,740, and one two-bedroom with a monthly rent of $3,595 for incomes ranging from $123,258 to $218,010.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than June 21, 2024.
