Permits have been filed to expand a one-story structure into an eight mixed-use building at 2616 Cropsey Avenue in Gravesend, Brooklyn. Located between 26th Avenue and Firefighter Joseph Patrick Henry Lane, the lot is near the Bay 50 Street subway station, serviced by the D train. Leonid Bogomolniy under the 2616 Crop LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 70-foot-tall development will yield 36,452 square feet, with 28,638 square feet designated for residential space, 4,587 square feet for community facility space, and 3,227 square feet for commercial space. The building will have 40 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 715 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar, a 30-foot-long rear yard, 18 enclosed parking spaces, and five open parking spaces.
Oleg Ruditser is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the project calls for a vertical expansion. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
