2183 3rd Avenue [Curbed]: Sharon Kahren and Haim Levi are developing a 12-story, 59-unit rental building measuring 64,000 square feet at the vacant lot of 2183 3rd Avenue, in East Harlem. Excavation is currently underway, and completion is expected “early next year.”
71 North 7th Street [Crain’s Business]: Michael Stern and Largo Investments have purchased the single-story warehouse property at 71 North 7th Street, in northern Williamsburg, “for a little more than $8 million.” Stern is planning to construct “a three-story, 15,000 square-foot condo building,” which will feature retail space at street level.
2 Pike Street [Daily News]: Yeung Real Estate Development has acquired the former gas station property at 2 Pike Street, in Chinatown, for $18.75 million, and “hope to build a 13-story, 70,000 square-foot” mixed-use commercial building. Studio C Architects is designing, and completion is expected by 2017.
100 Union Avenue [Brownstoner]: Adam America, Slate Property Group and Naveh Schuster Limited have acquired the vacant, nearly 10,500 square-foot property at 100 Union Avenue, in Broadway Triangle, for $6 million. A rental-apartment/retail building is planned, and a similar development is slated for the block to the north.
25 Kent Avenue [Wall Street Journal]: Heritage Equity Partners and the Rabsky Group plan to construct a nine-story, “400,000 square-foot office and light manufacturing building” at the now vacant block located at 19-33 Kent Avenue, in northern Williamsburg. The developers are seeking a variance to build the current proposal.
112 East 16th Street [The Real Deal]: Tishman Realty has acquired the nine-story, 50,150 square-foot parking garage at 112 East 16th Street, near Union Square, for $35 million. Tishman “is ‘starting to evaluate options for the site,'” and will release plans in the coming months.
