Residential Conversion Planned For 26-Story Office Building At 2 Rector Street, Financial District

Kushner Companies and CIM Group plan to convert the 26-story, 470,000 square-foot office building at 2 Rector Street, in the Financial District, into 452 rental units. The property is currently 84 percent occupied, with the building’s largest lease running until 2022. The team acquired the building for $140 million in 2013, according to The Real Deal.

    Looks like Mr Kushner is not quite ready for residential in FiDi. Building being sold and while he will come out smelling like a rose bringing in huge profits from sale, he backed away from residential leaving no footprint in the area. All he accomplished was running a historic building further into the ground. Deplorable mismanagement. Shameful
