The exterior of Related’s 500 West 30th Street is just about complete, roughly two years after it began construction. The tower stands 32 floors and has 386 units; the architect is Stern.

While the tower is residential, it will still be an important component in the Hudson Yards plan, given its location adjacent to 10 Hudson Yards, aka the Coach Tower. 500 West 30th Street is also next to The High Line, and its design makes an effort to integrate the elevated corridor, as it includes a terraced outdoor area even with the elevated park.

The project has street-front retail as well, which should thrive given the location. As the mega-mall at the base of the Hudson Yards towers opens, the neighborhood’s smaller store-fronts will also benefit; the pedestrian influx will be significant, to say the least.
