S. Weider Architect has released the first renderings of a five-story rental development in the Bay Ridge section of South Brooklyn. Located at 8101 Third Avenue, the building features a brick façade and will primarily contain rental apartments with a small section dedicated to commercial use at the ground level.
Plans filed with the New York City Department of Buildings specify 21,606 square feet of residential area divided among 32 units. Given these measurements, apartments will average approximately 675 square feet apiece. The most premium units open up to a wrap-around outdoor terrace at the highest floor.
The only additional component includes commercial area occupying a mere 260 square feet. No parking will be provided as part of the development.
The developer, M & M Ridge Properties LLC, has not revealed an estimated date of completion.

Great! More unaffordable apartments in the hood.
It looks like a factory building, totally out of character in the neighborhood
No parking? Seems like a great idea for Bay Ridge.
It’s an ugly building, too big. Why is it no one ever takes into account what the neighborhood wants.
Truly an eyesore. AS IF we didn’t have enough apartment buildings in Bay Ridge. Wished private homes or something else of use could have been built instead.
