Near the end of 2013, Brownstoner reported on applications for Douglaston Development’s 40-story, 554-unit residential tower at 2 North 6th Place, on Williamsburg’s northern stretch of East River waterfront, and now photos by Tectonic show the building under construction. It appears to be 11 stories above street level. Based on a rendering from J&A Concrete, the base is close to being structurally complete. A small 678 square-foot retail unit is planned on the ground floor and units will average 925 square feet apiece. Stephen B. Jacobs Group is designing and completion is expected in 2017.
Douglaston Development is moving forward with a townhouse project in Fort Greene, at 370-374 Clermont Avenue and 71 Greene Avenue. Originally filed in 2013, on the Clermont side, there will be two buildings, with three condominium units. One will be a four-story, single-family home, and the other will reach three stories and hold two units, averaging 3,885 square feet.
