Property owner Egris Haxhari has filed applications for a four-story, 16-unit residential building at 2953 Barnes Avenue, in Allerton, located four blocks from the Burke Avenue stop on the 2 and 5 trains. The structure will encompass 12,927 square feet, and its residential units should average 687 square feet apiece, indicative of rental apartments. Amenities will include off-street parking for eight cars, storage space for eight bikes, laundry facilities, and a 400-square-foot outdoor recreational area. Mohammad R. Badaly’s Mount Vernon, N.Y.-based Badaly Architects is the architect of record. The 50-foot-wide, 5,000-square-foot lot was occupied by a two-story house until it was demolished in March.

Newburgh, N.Y.-based property owner Artan Prelaj has filed applications for two four-story, multi-unit residential buildings at 2747-2749 Cruger Avenue, in Allerton, located around the block from the Allerton Avenue stop on the 2/5 trains. From north to south, the buildings will measure 6,219 and 7,543 square feet each. The smaller building will contain seven units averaging 714 square feet apiece, while the larger building will host nine units averaging 659 square feet apiece, both indicative of rental apartments. Both buildings will be topped by a penthouse level that will be associated with one of the fourth floor apartments. There will also be private residential storage in the cellar. Fernando Geremia’s Pelham, N.Y.-based Fred Geremia Architects & Planners is the architect of record. The 50-foot-wide lot is currently occupied by a two-story brick house. Permits were filed to demolish it last year.

Gac Haxhari has filed applications for a four-story, 15-unit residential building at 2547 Cruger Avenue, in the North Bronx neighborhood of Allerton, right around the corner from the 2 and 5 trains’ stop at Allerton Avenue. The building will measure 10,932 square feet in total, and units will average 729 square feet apiece. Long Island-based Shahriar Afshari is the architect of record, and an existing 1.5-story home must first be demolished.
