The five-story, 43,220 square-foot building dubbed 122 Community Center, at 150 1st Avenue, in the East Village, is currently being renovated and expanded to 52,380 square feet. EV Grieve notes interior demolition is currently underway, and the building will house The AID Service Center NYC, Mabou Mines, Painting Spaces 122 and PS122 when completed in Spring 2016. The Department of Cultural Affairs owns the building, and Deborah Berke Partners is designing the overhaul.

The Elim Pentecostal Church owns the property, and will have a 6,650 square-foot facility on the ground floor. The entire structure will measure 33,865 square feet, and units will average a rental-sized 665 square feet. Conrad Roncati’s Architectura is architect of record, and occupancy is slated for later this year.

A 10-story, 33-unit residential building under construction at 401 East 8th Street in the East Village, has topped-out and gotten its façade, per EV Grieve. The structure will measure 24,975 square feet, and units will average a rental-sized 755 square feet. The property owner is listed as 399 E8 Development LLC, and Akeeb Shekoni’s Askion Architects is designing. The project should wrap up and open for occupancy by 2016.
