An anonymous Flushing-based LLC has filed applications for a six-story, eight-unit mixed-use building planned at 132-16 Maple Avenue, on the southern end of downtown Flushing. The project will measure 12,121 square fee and will contain 1,994 square feet of medical office space on the cellar and ground floors. The residential units above will average 937 square feet apiece. The penthouse unit, located on part of the fifth floor and the entire sixth floor, will be a duplex. Flushing-based First Hec Engineering is the architect of record. The 25-foot-wide, 2,500-square-foot lot is currently occupied by a two-and-a-half-story house. Demolition permits not yet been filed.

Nine-Story, 38-Unit Mixed-Use Building Filed At 143-35 Sanford Avenue, Flushing

An anonymous Flushing-based LLC has filed applications for a nine-story, 38-unit mixed-use building at 143-35 Sanford Avenue, on the eastern side of downtown Flushing. The project will measure 43,604 square feet and rise just 80 feet above street level. There will be 4,868 square feet of medical offices on the ground floor. The residential units on the floors above should average 736 square feet. It’s not clear if the apartments will be condominiums or rentals. Amenities include a 30-car parking garage, located mostly underground, and bike storage. Michael Kang’s Flushing-based architecture firm is the architect of record. The 7,000-square-foot site is currently occupied by a three-story building with residential units and a dentists’ office. Demolition permits haven’t been filed.

Four-Story, Five-Unit Mixed-Use Building Coming To 132-62 Pople Avenue, Flushing

An anonymous Brooklyn-based LLC has filed applications for a four-story, five-unit mixed-use building at 132-62 Pople Avenue, on the southern end of downtown Flushing. The project will measure 4,663 square feet. There will be a 999-square-foot daycare facility on the ground and cellar levels, followed by residential units on the floors above. The apartments should average 733 square feet apiece, indicative of rentals. Chark Yung’s Brooklyn-based UPC Engineering is the applicant of record. The 30-foot-wide, 1,729-square-foot lot is currently occupied by a two-story rowhome. Demolition permits haven’t been filed. The Flushing-Main Street stop on the 7 train is seven blocks away.

150-50 Northern Boulevard

Two-Story, 8,300-Square-Foot Restaurant Planned at 150-50 Northern Boulevard, Murray Hill, Queens

An anonymous Flushing-based company has filed applications for a two-story, 8,363-square-foot commercial-retail building at 150-50 Northern Boulevard, located at the corner of Murray Street in Flushing’s Murray Hill section. The structure, which will host a restaurant on both floors, is to rise on a 4,500-square-foot lot currently occupied by a two-story commercial building. Demolition permits were filed for the existing structure in May. Permits indicate the adjacent corner lot and the paring lot to the south are a part of the assemblage. Permits were filed to demolish the single-story corner building, at 150-56 Northern Boulevard, in June, but no new building permits have been submitted for that lot. Suk Hwan Kim’s Flushing-based Design Group in H&K is the architect of record. The site is located four blocks from the neighborhood’s Long Island Rail Road station.
