Ticket Sales Launch for SUMMIT One Vanderbilt, Experiential Observatory in Midtown East

Ticket sales launched yesterday for SUMMIT One Vanderbilt, the newest observatory in Manhattan located in the crown of One Vanderbilt in Midtown East. SUMMIT One Vanderbilt is a 65,000-square-foot, four-level entertainment space atop the 1,401-foot-tall commercial supertall developed by SL Green Realty and designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox. Interiors were designed by Snøhetta, with the immersive walk-through art experience designed by Kenzo Digital.

2551-2555 Broadway’s Stone Façade Begins Installation, on Manhattan’s Upper West Side

Façade installation is progressing on 2551-2555 Broadway, a 22-story residential building on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Designed by Stephen B. Jacobs Group and developed by Extell, the 276,578-square-foot reinforced concrete structure will yield 130 residential units averaging 1,660 square feet apiece, as well as 9,080 square feet of commercial space. Leeding Builders Group, LLC is the general contractor and Paragon JV Prop. III, LLC is the owner of the property, which is located at the corner of Broadway and West 96th Street.

255 West 34th Street’s Superstructure Rises in Midtown, Manhattan

Designed by Stonehill Taylor Architects and developed by The Chetrit Group, the 155,594-square-foot development will yield 330 hotel rooms directly across from One Penn Plaza, on the southern edge of the Garment District between Seventh and Eighth Avenues. Flintlock Construction Services, LLC is the general contractor for the project.

Reuveni Real Estate is exclusively handling the marketing and sales and Urban Atelier Group is the general contractor for the project.

Turken House Nears Topping Out at 300 East 41st Street in Murray Hill, Manhattan

Construction is nearing topping out on Turken House, a 21-story mixed-use building at 300 East 41st Street in the Midtown, Manhattan neighborhood of Murray Hill. Designed by Perkins + Will for a non-profit company called The Turken Foundation, which provides Turkish students with help obtaining scholarships and job opportunities in the United States, the nearly 80,000-square-foot structure will stand 227 feet tall and yield 82 turnkey residences with both single- and double-occupancy quarters. The ground-up edifice is located at the corner of East 41st Street and Second Avenue, near both the United Nations and Grand Central Terminal, and was previously the site of two low-rise properties that were purchased for a combined $17.5 million prior to demolition. Turken House is aiming for LEED Certification with a program goal of LEED Silver Certification. Fast Track Construction is listed as the general contractor for the project.
