The ground-level view of 432 Park Avenue isn’t quite as exciting as the angle from the webcams, but that’s about to change as the tower is now rising above grade. Rebar for the tower’s core is now visible from the street, and the crane has jumped taller as well.
New York’s future tallest building is coming along very quickly, and that’s definitely a good thing if the developers care for superlatives–432 Park’s reign at the top of the skyline will be very short-lived, as Extell’s 225 West 57th Street (the Nordstrom Tower) is set to rise over one hundred feet taller. The Nordstrom Tower isn’t expected to be complete until the end of the decade, so 432 Park Avenue should at least have a few years at the top of the New York skyline.
