MIR has released the below rendering of Related’s Hudson Yards project on their website, showing the two flagship office towers from the South. The stunning image shows just how enormous the two towers will be–even the South Tower, at only 876 feet in height, looks massive. The rendering leaves out the other two towers to be completed as part of phase I, including the David Childs-designed ‘Equinox Tower,’ which is also expected to top 1,000 feet.

The new observation deck throws off the symmetry between the two towers. They could have done a better job with that. Maybe they could add a similar looking outdoor patio to the upper portion of the south tower to make it work, but in it’s current state, it just looks odd.
Although the observation deck does throw off the symmetry between both towers, they still look handsome and would be a vast improvement of what that area once was. I’m sure it would look better when they’re completed. Whew…I wonder what New York would be like when these buildings and many others like them are done? I would love to travel in a time machine to find out…lol.
