361 Central Park West [West Side Rag]: Gerner Kronick + Valcarvel Architects have made minor design alterations to the planned conversion of a church at 361 Central Park West, on the Upper West Side. The development will contain 32 condo units split between eight reconstructed floors.
156 Rivington Street [Bowery Boogie]: Architect Paul Castrucci has designed a four-story community center and performance building of 9,000 square feet — dubbed the ABC No Rio — at 156 Rivington Street, on the Lower East Side. The existing four-story tenement is to be demolished, and construction is expected to begin in 2015.
431 West 33rd Street [Commercial Observer]: The Port Authority “is soliciting new bids” for two parcels located at 431 West 33rd Street, on the Far West Side, where at least 490,037 square feet of as-of-right building potential exists. The site is available to developers following a deal that fell through earlier this year, and additional air rights can be purchased.
56 Leonard Street [Curbed]: Herzog & de Meuron’s 60-story 56 Leonard has now climbed to over two-thirds of it’s intended height, on track to be completed in 2015. Located at 56 Leonard Street, in Tribeca, all but two penthouses in the 147-unit Tribeca tower are currently in contract.
509 West 38th Street [The Real Deal]: Michael Fascitelli, now heading Imperial Companies, has been granted $104 million from the Public Authority Control Board for his 30-story, 225-unit mixed-use building planned for 509 West 38th Street, on the Far West Side. Reportedly, 44,436 square feet of inclusionary housing bonus “will eventually be sold for another development,” and construction is imminent.
49 Franklin Street [Brownstoner]: The three-story, two-unit building, which also includes 1,259 square feet of commercial space, has topped out at 49 Franklin Street in Greenpoint. On-site renderings reveal a red-brick façade, but the final exterior has yet to be realized; completion is likely in 2015.
