1500 Waters Place [Crain’s New York]: Simone Development Companies has acquired the 33-acre site at 1500 Waters Place, in Middletown – Pelham Bay, for $16 million. Plans include “a 1.9 million square-foot mixed-use office, academic and medical complex” comprised of six new buildings and two existing, refurbished ones.
823 11th Avenue [Daily News]: Developer Sumaida + Khurana has acquired the six-story property at 823 11th Avenue, on the Far West Side at 56th Street, “for approximately $55 million.” The site boasts 128,400 square feet of building potential as residential or hotel; plans have yet to be announced.
42-10 27th Street [Curbed]: Renderings have surfaced for the Raymond Chan-designed 18-Story, 110-unit mixed-use building set to span the vacant lots of 42-02 – 24-10 27th Street, in Long Island City. Lions Group is developing, and completion is expected in 2017.
26-32 Jackson Avenue [Curbed]: Lions Group is also planning a complementary duo of mixed-use high-rise towers at 26-32 and 27-01 Jackson Avenue, in Long Island City. Dubbed Jackson East and Jackson West, Raymond Chan is designing, but filings that match the renderings have yet to be submitted with the DOB.
613 Baltic Street [New York Post]: Filed in June of last year, renderings now reveal JDS Development’s planned 11-story, 47-unit mixed-use tower at 613 Baltic Street, in Boerum Hill. Sales begin later this year, and completion is expected “in early 2017.”
123 Melrose Street [DNAinfo]: Read Property Group is set to “start [construction] this summer” on an eight-story, 385-unit residential building at 123 Melrose Street, in northern Bushwick. Demolition will begin “next month” on the existing warehouse, and completion of the new structure is expected in “early 2017.”
