It has been about five-and-a-half months since we checked in on JDS Development Group’s new endeavor at 613 Baltic Street, in Park Slope. Back then, it had just topped out. Now, behind scaffolding, façade installation is underway at every level of the 11-story building.
613 Baltic Street
Since being five stories up roughly two months ago, the 11-story, 44-unit mixed-use building under development at 613 Baltic Street, in northern Park Slope, has now now topped out at 119 feet above street level. The construction progress can be seen thanks to a photo shot by Tectonic. The 83,154-square-foot project is being dubbed Baltic and its residential units will be condominiums. Those currently available come in two- and three-bedroom configurations. The average unit should measure 1,339 square feet. The ground floor will include 3,157 square feet of retail and 2,163 square feet of space for a community center. The known amenities are listed in YIMBY’s previous update. JDS Development Group is the developer, while VOA Architecture is serving as the design architect. Completion is anticipated for 2017.
Back in December of 2015, updated renderings were revealed of the 11-story, 44-unit mixed-use building under development at 613 Baltic Street, in northern Park Slope, located six blocks south of the Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center stop on the D/N/R trains. Now, construction is underway on the fifth floor of the structure, as seen in a photo by our friend Tectonic. The structure, dubbed the Baltic, will encompass 83,154 square feet, and will include 3,157 and 2,163 square feet of retail and community facility space, respectively, on the ground floor. The residential units will be condominiums, averaging 1,339 square feet apiece, and two- and three-bedroom apartments are currently on the market. Amenities include a fitness center, landscaped gardens and terraces, a roof deck featuring lounges, grills, and dining areas, a movie theater, storage for 22 bikes, and a 10-car garage in the cellar. JDS Development Group is the developer and VOA Architecture is behind the design. Completion is expected in 2017.
In the summer of 2014, YIMBY reported on applications for an 11-story, 44-unit mixed-use building at 613 Baltic Street, in northern Park Slope, and earlier this year, the New York Post published the first rendering of the project. Since then, VOA Associates has made further refinements to the design, which Curbed revealed yesterday. JDS Development is behind the project, which will feature condominiums as well as 3,365 and 2,150 square feet of ground-floor retail and community space, respectively. Dubbed Baltic, sales are expected to begin early next year, with completion set for 2017. Four three-story townhouses at 107-113 Fourth Avenue must first be demolished.
