Late last year, Criterion Group acquired the low-rise warehouse properties at 11-12 30th Drive and 30-77 Vernon Boulevard, on the East River, in Astoria, and now the developer has filed applications to expand the building into a nine-story, 381,380 square-foot structure. The building will have 569 residential units, and they will more than likely be rentals, averaging just 668 square feet apiece. A small 1,183 square-foot retail portion is included, and roof terraces will be located on the second and eighth floors. Nyron Hall Engineering is the applicant of record. [The Real Deal]
