When YIMBY last reported on the 30-story hotel under development at 143 Fulton Street, in August 2016, foundation work was underway. Now, the Financial District lodging has something to show for itself.

A photo sent to us last week by construction chronicler Tectonic shows work has reached to about the sixth floor, at least on the Fulton Street side. The through-block project, on a site between Nassau Street and Broadway, also has an address 26 Ann Street.

In fact, we still don’t know what the Fulton Street façade will look like, since the only rendering available is for the Ann Street side. However it will look, Garment District-based SLCE Architects is responsible for the design and Tribeca Associates is the developer.

The vital statistics of the building are unchanged since our August update. It will rise 364 feet and have a total construction floor area spanning 128,690 square feet. There will be 298 hotel rooms, starting on the fifth floor with 11 rooms. That will be followed by 12 rooms each on the sixth through the 28th floors, and 11 on the 29th floor.

Amenities will include 11 bicycle storage spaces and a fitness center. There will also be a restaurant on the third floor and retail on the first and second floors.

The hotel will be just up the block from the Fulton Center subway hub, with connections to the 2, 3, 4, 5, A, C, J, N, R, W and Z trains.
