Construction is now 21 floors above street level on the 35-story, 67-unit mixed-use tower under development at 200 East 59th Street, located on the corner of Third Avenue in Midtown East. Progress on the structure can be seen thanks to photos posted to the YIMBY Forums by Tectonic. The latest building permits indicate the project will encompass 152,191 square feet and rise 490 feet in height.
There will be 9,964 square feet of retail space across the ground and second floors, followed by 67 condominiums across the fifth through 33rd floors. The apartments will range from one- to three-bedrooms and should average 1,491 square feet apiece. Macklowe Properties is the developer and CetraRuddy Architecture is the architect and interior designer. Completion is expected by the end of the year.
