The Upper East Side is no stranger to new luxury high-rise apartment buildings, but with the completion of Second Avenue’s Q train, they’re seemingly getting bigger. Now, 360 East 89th Street is nearly ready to open, as shown by the latest photos from Tectonic.
The handsome new 34-story high-rise brings itself up to a height of 377 feet. With 84 residential units covering 210,000 square feet, the condos will be very generously sized, averaging 2,500 square feet apiece. There will be another 3,265 square feet dedicated to commercial retail on the first floor.
A 1,582 square-foot, 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom apartment has already sold for $2.99 million. Per the developers, the units are designed to be a relaxing oasis. There will also be a private rooftop, with a full 360-degree view of the city skyline. The lobby will feature limestone floors and eloquent paneling.
All in all, the new building looks to be a wonderful mix of good design, materials, and lighting, with spectacular interiors that aspire to enrich the lives of its residents.
Developed by Anbau Enterprises, the project offers a substantial improvement over the site’s previous tenements. SHoP is behind the design, and opening is imminent.
