Permits Filed For Controversial Hotel at 14-61 127th Street, College Point, Queens

Permits have been filed for 14-61 127th Street, in the College Point Neighborhood of Queens. The project is slated to become a 60 foot tall mixed-use structure with space split between a hotel and a community facility. The location has gained notoriety over the past few months due to community unrest over the construction plans.

The Department of Buildings issued a notice of intent to revoke the permit due to the planned inclusion of a nursery school on the second story, which is not permitted in the property’s zoning. The site’s developer, Super A. Construction Inc., is required to submit new plans without the nursery school to continue.

The new building will offer up a total 73,460 square feet divided between six stories, of which 34,020 square feet will be dedicated to the hotel space. With a total of 87 units planned, the average room size will be 390 square feet.

23,680 square feet of the space will be devoted to community space, and the project will also include 90 parking spaces.

Z & T Engineering will be responsible for the design.

  1. Please pardon me for using your space: A photo contains development, whatever you see inside such as snow – steel – site.
