New permits reveal a 116-key hotel in development at 38-59 11th Street, in Long Island City, Queens. When complete, the building will comprise 54,164 square feet and rise to a final height of 16 floors and 179 feet. Filings also mention an enclosed parking volume for 31 vehicles.
Future guests will have easy access to Manhattan, the Outer Boroughs, as well as Long Island, with nearly a dozen public transportation services located relatively closeby. These include the E, F, G, M, N, R, W, and 7 subway lines, as well as the NYC Ferry. The Long Island Railroad is also accessible via the Hunterspoint Avenue station.
In 2013, the site reportedly changed hands from Pyco Properties to new ownership for $6.18 million. The current property owner, Teddy Li, is not mentioned in these documents, but is the speculated purchaser through entity 559 Development LLC.
