Construction is wrapping up on 43-25 52nd Street, a nine-story residential building in Woodside, Queens. Designed by Angelo Ng & Anthony Ng Architects and developed by Xiaoke Tang of Yi Lu Fa Corporation, the 90-foot-tall structure spans 22,945 square feet and yields 27 rental units with an average scope of 849 square feet. The development also contains a 36-foot-long-rear yard and nine enclosed parking spots. Twenty percent of the residential inventory will be designated as affordable housing. The property is located Roosevelt Avenue to the north and Queens Boulevard to the south.

All work is complete on the façade, which is composed of a mix of white and black metal paneling framing a grid of floor-to-ceiling windows and doors leading out to three stacks of balconies. The first two stories and portions of the third and fourth are clad in gray brick. Some minor finishing touches are currently wrapping up on the ground-floor windows and doors, but should conclude in the coming weeks.

The southern lot line wall is left blank, and the rear eastern profile features numerous balconies lined with metal railings. The roof is topped with a centralized two-tiered mechanical bulkhead.

The site was formerly occupied by a two-story building for the El Renuevo Christian Council, as seen in the following Google Street View image from before its demolition. The developers acquired the 10,000-square-foot property from Gabriel Blau & Joshua Deutsch for $3.25 million.

YIMBY expects 43-25 52nd Street to fully finish construction later this spring.

  1. Good filler. Wonder if another building will go up to the south and cover that blank party wall in the future

  2. The wires!
