Permits have been filed for a four-story residential building at 1027 Rev. James A. Polite Avenue in Foxhurst, The Bronx. The site is three blocks from the Intervale Avenue subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Ten blocks away is Hunts Point Avenue, serviced by the 6 trains. Gjek Popaj is listed as responsible for the development.

The 40-foot tall structure will yield 10,270 square feet, of which 10,040 square feet will be dedicated to residential use. Fifteen apartments will be created, averaging 670 square feet apiece, indicating rentals. Residents will have access to recreational space, and storage for eight bicycles.

Fred Geremia Architects will be responsible for the design.

  2. Wow. I just took pics of this property on Monday. It was filled with roomers last week. Now it is all boarded up.

  3. Unfortunately this is not a good block to be on. Police patrols were there for a few months. The whole block is poverty and drugs.
