New permits have been filed for a four-story residential building at 629 Faile Street in Hunts Point, The Bronx. The site is eight blocks away from the Hunts Point Avenue subway station, serviced by the 6 trains. Three blocks further is the Simpson Street subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Alex Gilkarov of Platinum Management Group LLC is listed as responsible for the development.

The 43-foot tall structure will yield 6,090 square feet, with 5,160 square feet dedicated to residential use. Eight apartments will be created, averaging 1,290 square feet apiece, indicating condominiums.

Issac & Stern Architects will be responsible for the design. The lot is currently vacant, meaning construction can start as soon as permits are approved. The estimated completion date has not been announced.

The Hunts Point neighborhood has been a beneficiary of an uptick in new development. The most notable change to the area will be the Spofford Redevelopment Project, transforming a former juvenile prison into a mixed-use project.
