Permits have been filed for an eight-story mixed-use building at 1694 Church Avenue in the Flatbush-Ditmas Park neighborhood of Brooklyn. The site is on the same block as the Church Avenue subway station, serviced by the B and Q trains. Prospect Park is a few blocks to the north. Joel Kohn of the Jay Group is listed as responsible for the applications.
The 84-foot tall structure will yield 59,400 square feet, with 33,800 square feet dedicated to residential use and 7,250 square feet for commercial use. 49 apartments will be included, averaging 690 square feet apiece, indicating rental use. Parking will be included for 25 bicycles and 25 cars. Residents will have access to a lobby and a shared terrace on the second floor.
J Frankl and Charles Mallea Associates Architects will be responsible for the design.
Demolition permits were filed in early June of this eyar. The estimated completion date has not been announced.
