Located in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Prospect Lefferts Garden, to the east of Prospect Park, a new four-story residential project will soon rise at 143 Winthrop Street. Permits were filed earlier this week that call for a new ground-up structure with a basement level and a total of 10 units built within masonry walls. The designer is Palette Architecture, while the developer is Croxdale Real Estate Management LLC.

The total square footage of the project will measure 10,287 square feet, with the residential units taking up 8,159 square feet. It will stand 45 feet tall, with a 10-foot long front yard and a 37-foot long backyard.

The project sits between Rogers Avenue and Bedford Avenue. It also is situated in the middle of four subway stations, serving the 2 and 5 train at both Winthrop Station and Sterling Street to the east, along with the Q train at both Parkside Avenue and Prospect Park Subway station to the west, by Prospect Park.

No completion date has been announced yet.

  1. Please pardon me for using your space: I reading about it now. Finish and forget.

  2. That’s a sad fate for a Victorian that could be restored – like the neighbors in the photo appear to be doing. Whatever the new build is, it’s sure to be uglier and out of context with this street.
