Permits have been filed for a four-story residential building at 494 Jackson Avenue, in the South Bronx. The site is five blocks away from the East 149th Street subway station, serviced by the 6 train. Yellow Jacket Ventures, a Brooklyn-based developer, is listed as behind the applications.
The 55-foot tall structure will yield 14,428 square feet, with 10,693 square feet dedicated to residential use. 16 apartments will be created, averaging 668 square feet apiece, indicating rentals on the corner lot.
P Georgopoulos Architect PC will be responsible for the architecture.
Demolition permits were approved in late October. The estimated completion date has not been announced.
