LBA Logistics and RXR Realty have big plans for a 770,000-square foot, multistory logistics center in Maspeth, Queens. A 71,000-square-foot single-story warehouse with 6.5 acres of fleet parking and storage is currently extant at 56-19 Grand Avenue. The new structure will feature 21-foot clear heights and nine interior dock positions, and can accommodate a variety of vehicles and equipment. It is already available for lease, with occupancy starting in the second quarter of 2019.
LBA Logistics and RXR Realty plan to demolish two existing buildings on the site in early 2019. Their proposed 770,000-square-foot logistics facility can be customized for the needs of its tenants including efficient circulation, parking, and ample clear height. That also includes truck ramps that provide direct access to loading docks located on multiple levels.
The location is also important for providing last-mile distribution services to Queens, Brooklyn, and both the East Side and Lower Manhattan. No estimated construction completion dates have been announced.
The JLL industrial brokerage team will be responsible for leasing agreements.
