New renderings offer a first glimpse of the 400-foot waterfront esplanade to accompany Eliot Spitzer’s massive South Williamsburg rental complex, at 420 Kent Avenue.
The landscaped esplanade would increase pedestrian connectivity to North Williamsburg, the Marcy Avenue J/M/Z subway lines, and the East River Ferry located just south of the rising development. Additional details surrounding the walkway have not yet been released.
Designed by ODA New York and developed by Spitzer Enterprises, the development is located to the south of the Williamsburg Bridge, along Kent Avenue, between Broadway and South 9th Street. The development includes three residential towers, each with an asymmetrical design comprised of shifting floor plates and staggered massing.
The site will also support ground-floor retail.
The project is expected to debut by 2019, and will eventually comprise more than 550,000 square feet with more than 850 rental apartments located within.
